ABOUT ME!

Soren A Correia is a New York City based screenwriter/actor who graduated from SUNY Purchase, with bachelor's degrees in Playwrighting/Screenwriting, and Theater and Performance where he additionally studied Economics and History as double minors. From there he moved abroad, where he made Scotland a temporary homebase from which to travel, meet fascinating strangers, and indulge in new experiences like wild camping on the Isle of Skye.

The inspiration he gleaned from these travels drove him to write the fantasy anthology, The Modern State of Wizardry, for which he has received quarterfinalist placements in the Script2Comic competition, as well as The Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards, and The Monthly Film Festival, as well as his half-hour animated pilot, Gnome Core, which has earned Quarterfinalist in the Inroads Fellowship, and Emerging Screenwriter: Animation Competition.

Additionally the podcast Roll Weird RPG (formerly Good Neighbors RPG), on which he voice acts, video edits, and writes, won the 2021 Audioverse Award for "New Improvised Production," while Soren personally earned a finalist placement as a “Player in a New Production.” His years acting in theater, including extensive work with Shakespearean texts, grants him a unique insight into character, and his appreciation for history of all kinds, particularly theater histories, allows him a rich well of precedent from which to draw when creating his fantastical and often surreal stories.
